U10 rugby scrum drills
5 scrum and restarts drills a U10 squad is allowed to do, each with the set up, the coaching points and what it looks like from the touchline when it is going wrong.
Free to read with no account. They work at a pitch with no signal too.
What U10 is allowed here
U10 is the first grade the RFU allows scrum work at, so this is where it starts. Nothing below that grade sees any of these, in the app or on this site. What U10 rugby allows is the rest of it.
The drills
Under each one is what it looks like when that drill is going wrong.
- Scrum shape hold 5 min · 3+ players · 10 x 10 m Heads down on crouch
- Three player scrum shape 10 min · 6 to 16 players · 10 x 10 m Heads down looking at the grass on crouch
- Feed and strike 9 min · 4 to 16 players · 10 x 10 m The feed going in on a curve towards their own hooker
- Scrum and away 10 min · 8 to 16 players · 25 x 20 m The backs standing flat footed watching the scrum
- Taking the restart 9 min · 6 to 20 players · 30 x 25 m Three of them calling for it at once and nobody catching

The same at other grades
Every U10 drill is the whole grade rather than one theme. Rugby drills by age group is all six grades.
